Circle K In Veradale Robbed

An armed robber held up the Circle K food store in Veradale early Friday.

The robber, who covered his face with a dark bandana, entered the store at 15504 E. Fourth just before 1:30 a.m, sheriff’s deputies said. He pointed the gun at the clerk and told him, “Don’t stall. Give me the money.”

The robber was dressed in a dark winter coat and dark pants, and carried a silver handgun, witnesses said. He appeared to be in his late teens.

He took the money and ran east on Fourth Avenue.
