Scope To Have Guest Speaker

SCOPE University will hold its monthly community meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the SCOPE University office, 10621 E. 15th Ave. John Kallas, a former law enforcement officer and current candidate for the 4th District representative seat, will be the featured speaker.

Ecology class

Modern Electric and Water Co. is sponsoring a one-day class on streams and ecology for fourth-through eighth-graders.

At Liberty Lake County Park, children will learn about riparian zones, the importance of water temperature, and what a watershed does. The class is free. Sessions will be held Thursday and July 23; Aug. 20 and 27. For more information, call 928-4540.
