Floyd and Viola McDowell, Spokane, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 28 with a reception at Manito Country Club.

Hosts for their event were their children and spouses: Michael and Shelley McDowell, and Megan and Sam Cozza, all of Spokane; Maura Stagg, Boulder, Mont.; and Murray McDowell, Longview, Wash.

The McDowells were married June 30, 1948, in Opheim, Mont. They have six grandchildren.
