Teenager Missing, Another Drowned

Rescue personnel searched the Snake River Saturday for a boy who disappeared while floating the river in an inner tube.

Jason Michael Arellano, 17, Hammett, disappeared Thursday evening after falling off his inner tube in the Pasadena Valley area of the Snake River, Elmore County authorities said. He was last seen drifting toward some rapids.

Another teenager drowned in the Big Wood River Thursday evening. The body of 16-year-old Allen Sims of Bellevue was found in the Big Wood about an hour after he slipped into the water and disappeared, Lt. Greg Sage of the Blaine County sheriff’s office said.
