‘John Sting’ Nets 14 In Spokane

Spokane police arrested 14 men Friday night between 6:30 p.m. and midnight for patronizing a prostitute.

Police conducted a “john sting” on East Sprague using female police officers as decoys.

The arrested men ranged in age from 21 to 46 years old and came from Spokane, Deer Park, Mead, Cheney, Kent, Coeur d’Alene, Oakland, Ore.; Petaluma, Calif.; and Missoula, Mont.

Police periodically make sweeps of people seeking prostitutes and the prostitutes themselves. No prostitutes were arrested.
