Hilda Pittenger Spokane

Funeral for Hilda Harris Pittenger, 85, will be at 1 p.m., Thursday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home - North. Burial will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.

Born in Potlatch, Idaho, Mrs. Pittenger died Sunday.

In 1929, she married Laverne Trimble. They moved to the Spokane area in 1935.

She later married Ellis Pittenger.

Mrs. Pittenger was a homemaker.

Both husbands preceded her in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Dixie Mahoney of Spokane; eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, three stepchildren, six stepgrandchildren, and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.

Clifford Telecky Ritzville, Wash.

Funeral for Clifford J. Telecky, 82, is set for 11 a.m. today at Trinity United Methodist Church in Ritzville. Vault burial will follow at Ritzville Memorial Cemetery. Danekas Funeral Home in Ritzville is in charge of arrangements.

A lifetime Ritzville resident, Mr. Telecky died Monday.

He graduated from Ritzville High School and served in the Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1946.

In 1951 he married Ruth Foss and they farmed on the family farm near Ritzville. He retired in 1982 and they moved into Ritzville in 1988.

Survivors include his wife; and two sisters, Berniece Jansen and Roseline Longmeier, both of Spokane.

Ethel Eaton Coeur d’Alene

Memorial service for Ethel Louise Eaton, 91, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Community United Methodist Church in Coeur d’Alene. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Eaton, who was born in Minnesota, died June 18. She moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1924 and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Eaton was also a volunteer for the American Cancer Society for nearly 40 years and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, where she was active in the Retired Eagle Activity Club.

She volunteered at Kootenai Memorial Hospital, now Kootenai Medical Center, gift shop and was appointed to the board of directors of Jewett House.

Mrs. Eaton was a member of Community United Methodist Church and was in charge of wedding and anniversary receptions for 29 years.

Her husband, Jack, died in 1988.

Survivors include two sons, Jack Eaton of Vancouver, Wash., Verne Eaton of Spokane; two brothers, Lloyd Mielke of Missouri and Reyo Mielke of Arizona; two sisters, Eleanor Robinson of Spokane and Dorothy Wilson of Seattle; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Gladys (Waggoner) Hull Tacoma

No service will be held for Gladys (Waggoner) Hull at her request. Lynn Funeral Home in Tacoma is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hull, a former long-time Spokane resident, died July 8.

She was born in Walla Walla and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Hull moved to Tacoma about 10 years ago from Spokane where she lived for about 26 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harley Hull.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Francis Wieber Spokane

Memorial service for Francis P. Wieber, 82, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Private inurnment was at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mr. Wieber, a lifetime resident of Spokane, died Monday.

He graduated from Lewis and Clark High School and was an executive at Washington Water Power for 38 years.

Mr. Wieber was a member of the Trailblazers, the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes and the Spokane Club.

His first wife, Viva, and his second wife, Louise, both preceded him in death.

Survivors include a son, Richard Wieber of Spokane; a brother, Charlie Wieber of Spokane; and two grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Poor Clare Nuns.

Mary Wagner Sagle, Idaho

Visitation for Mary Lou Wagner, 68, will be from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. today at English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene. Service will be at 11 a.m. at the chapel. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery, Riverview Section.

Mrs. Wagner, who was born in Coeur d’Alene, died Monday.

She lived most of her life in North Idaho and had also lived in Alberta.

Mrs. Wagner worked as a block inspector at Ohio Match in Coeur d’Alene for seven years and then planted trees for the Forest Service.

She also managed a catering service in Canada for several years.

Mrs. Wagner was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, the Coeur d’Alene Coin Club, Westmond Grange, and the Triangle Homemakers Club.

She was also past director for women’s activities for the Idaho State Grange.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Howard; three sons, Lester Wagner of Spokane, Alfred Wagner of Montana, and Lawrence Wagner of Everett, Wash.; two brothers, Joe Benjamin of Coeur d’Alene and Alan Benjamin of Post Falls; a sister, Sharon Prosch of Coeur d’Alene; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

William Nettleton Spokane

Memorial service for William L. “Bill” Nettleton, 71, is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Riplinger Funeral Home.

Mr. Nettleton, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Monday.

He served in the Korean War and worked as a teacher at East Valley High School for 27 years.

Mr. Nettleton was a member of Washington and East Valley Education associations, Lakeland Village Associates and Washington State and Spokane Retired Teachers associations.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Delores; a son, Jack Nettleton of Flushing, Mich.; a daughter, Nancy Nettleton of Medical Lake; a brother, Clyde Bemis of Spokane; and two granddaughters.
