Beulah Carman Post Falls
Graveside service for Beulah M. Carman, 85, will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls. English Funeral Chapel in Post Falls is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Carman, who was born in Wisconsin, died Monday.
She had lived in California and worked as a secretary for the Highway Department and then as a legal secretary.
Mrs. Carman moved to Post Falls in 1993 to be near family.
Her husband, Conrad, died in 1974.
Survivors include two sons, William and David Carman, both of California; a daughter, Susan Spreen of Post Falls; a sister, Hazel Sledge of Nebraska; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Raymond ‘Andy’ Anderson Olympia
Entombment for Raymond E. “Andy” Anderson, 72, is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday at Greenwood Memorial Park in Spokane. Mills and Mills Funeral Directors in Olympia is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Anderson, a former Spokane resident, died Saturday.
He was born in Moscow, Idaho, and graduated in 1943 from Moscow High School.
Mr. Anderson worked on his father’s farm before serving in the Navy during World War II. He was in the Pacific Theater as a Seabee and a seaman 2nd class.
In 1966 he married Jean Engledinger in Spokane, and he worked for Remington Rand Business Machine Co. as a repairman. He then worked for Kaiser Aluminum in Trentwood from 1953 until his retirement in 1982.
He moved to Olympia 10 years ago.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1474 in Spokane and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 41 in Tumwater, Wash., and was a 30-year member of the Eagles Lodge 21 in Olympia. Mr. Anderson was also a member of United Steel Workers of America Local 338.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Tom of Gig Harbor, Wash.; a daughter, Diana Schreck of Olympia; a stepson, Keith Voos of Hoboken, N.J.; a sister, Harriet Soliday of Spokane; and six grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
Dorothy Willcox Fruitland, Wash.
Funeral Mass for Dorothy Elizabeth Willcox, 73, is scheduled for 10 a.m. today at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Fruitland. Burial will follow at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery in Fruitland. Strate Funeral Home in Davenport, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Willcox, a lifetime resident of Fruitland, died Tuesday.
She was a homemaker and was a member of the Spokane Tribe of Indians.
Survivors include a daughter, Patsy Greene of Kent, Wash.; a sister, Eva Lynn of Davenport; four grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Dorothy Dryden Spokane
Memorial service for Dorothy G. Dryden, 85, is set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Baptist Church. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home - South is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Dryden, who was born in Love, Ore., died Wednesday.
She was involved in her husband’s ministry as a pastor’s wife in Northwest American Baptist churches, played the organ and piano, helped in church camps and denominational leadership and wrote the pamphlet, “Rural Minister by Choice.”
Mrs. Dryden lived in Spokane for 20 years and served as craft director at Lilac Plaza, where she introduced oil painting and weaving.
Her husband, the Rev. Gerald Dryden, died in 1982.
Survivors include two sons, Stuart Dryden of Spokane and Louis Dryden of Cashmere, Wash.; a brother, Leonard Golay of Nampa, Idaho; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
