Lacking Mother’S Love

Aladdin, an infant gorilla born two weeks ago, hugs a stuffed bear as his father Lucas sits outside his cage at Ramat Gan’s Safari Park near Tel Aviv. Aladdin, whose natural mother, Anya, abandoned him after birth, may need to be raised by an adoptive mother if Anya does not learn to accept him. It has not been determined why Anya continues to reject Aladdin, and park personnel believe she may never agree to hold him.
