Celebration Dedicated To Centenarians
Over 20 people who are 100 or older have been invited to attend the Centenarian Recognition Day Saturday at the Cheney Cowles Museum.
The recognition ceremony, which begins at 1 p.m., is part of FamilyFest called “A Gathering of Generations.” Those to be honored range in age from 100 to 107.
The FamilyFest activities run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and include art projects for the whole family and outdoor games such as lawn bowling, ring toss, horseshoes, croquet and badminton. An antique car show will also be on the museum grounds.
Admission to FamilyFest is $4 for adults, $3 for seniors and $2.50 for kids age 6-16. The cost also includes admission to all museum exhibits, including “Perfecting Social Graces: The Diary of Helen Campbell, 1913-1917.”
