Donald Croyle Spokane
Visitation for Donald A. Croyle, 77, will be from noon to 6 p.m. today and Sunday at Heritage Funeral Home. Graveside service is planned for 11 a.m. Monday at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. at North Addison Baptist Church.
Mr. Croyle, who died Wednesday, was born in Rawlins, Wyo.
He served in the Navy during World War II and in 1943 he married Lois Perry in Seattle.
Mr. Croyle was an appliance repairman and worked for Spokane Appliance Repair Co. for many years.
He was a member of Fourth Memorial Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Steven Croyle of Hayden Lake, Idaho; three daughters, Mary McMillan of Maple Valley, Wash.; Loralee Sampson of Spokane and Jean Colvin of Edwall, Wash.; two brothers, Leonard Croyle of Mitchell, S.D., and Homer Croyle of Spokane; two sisters, Winnie Farmer of Spokane and Josephine Wickwire of Furport, Wash.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to North Addison Baptist Church or Christian Heritage School.
Hubert Pickel Spokane
Memorial service for Hubert R. Pickel, 53, will be at 1 p.m. today at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home.
Mr. Hubert, who died Monday, was born in El Reno, Okla.
He was co-owner and operator of Spokane Concrete Cutting company for 17 years.
His wife, Barbara, died in 1997.
Survivors include three sons, Richard and Chuck Pickel, both of Vancouver, Wash., and Donald Pickel of Austin, Texas; his mother, Ruth Sovereign, and a brother, Wil Pickel, both of Pasco; a sister, Donna Brady of San Jose, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
Anthony Stearns Spokane
Memorial service for Anthony E. “Tony” Stearns, 39, was Friday at Riplinger Funeral Home.
Mr. Stearns, who was born in The Dalles, Ore., died Sunday.
He graduated from high school in Spokane and worked as a mechanic.
Mr. Stearns was a member of the Yankton Sioux Tribe of South Dakota.
Survivors include his wife Ann Marie; two sons, Gordon and Thomas Stearns; two stepchildren, Howie and Mekayla; his mother and stepfather, Nancy and Skip Runge; six brothers, William and Joseph Stearns, Sean Maney, Christopher, Michael and Dwayne Runge; his grandfather, Walter Head and his grandmother, Josephine Brunner.
Russell Clinton Spokane
Visitation for Russell J. Clinton, 85, will be from noon to 6 p.m. today and Sunday at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral is planned for 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Mr. Clinton, who was born in Spokane, died Thursday.
He was a field engineer and worked for the Burroughs Corp.
Mr. Clinton was a member of the Masonic Oriental Lodge, the Men of Rhythm Dance Band, the Eagles Lodge #2 and the El Katif Shrine Band. He was also a past Scout Master.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Ellen; a son, John Clinton, Jr. of Everett; a daughter, Shirelle Oeser of Spokane; a stepson, Dick Astleford, and two stepdaughters, Shirlee Simonson and Linda Simmons, all of Spokane; a sister, Flora Pounds; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Melville ‘Casey’ Lindsey Spokane
Memorial service for Melville “Casey” Lindsey, 85, will be at 1 p.m. today at Usk (Wash.) Community Club. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Usk, Mr. Lindsey died Thursday.
He served in the Army from 1943 to 1946 and married Alice Crofoot in 1946.
Mr. Lindsey worked as a plumber for Emerson Plumbing in Spokane for 17 years and was a member of the Usk Community Club.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Calvin Lindsey of Gaston, Ore.; a daughter, Diane Orr of Libby, Mont.; a brother, Zane Lindsey of Corvallis, Ore.; two sisters, Floriene Meyers of Spokane and Martha Driver of Usk; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Donald ‘Duke’ Finley Inchelium, Wash.
Burial Mass for Donald F. “Duke” Finley, 24, will be at 10 a.m. today at Inchelium High School gymnasium. Burial will follow at Hall Creek Cemetery in Inchelium. Danekas Funeral Home in Colville, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Finley, who born in Colville, died Tuesday.
He graduated from Inchelium High School in 1992 and was employed by the Colville Tribal Forestry Department in the timber sales division.
Mr. Finley also coached basketball and baseball at Inchelium High School.
He is survived by his companion, Lori Stensgar; his daughter, Shayleen; his parents, David and Bonnie Finley of Inchelium; two sisters, Jalene and Kara Finley, and three brothers, Michael, Jesse and David Finley Jr., all of Inchelium.
Amy Trent Seattle
Memorial service for Amy L. Trent, 33, will be at 3 p.m. today at Wiggen and Sons Funeral Home in Seattle.
Ms. Trent, who was born in Spokane, died Tuesday.
She graduated from University High School in 1983 and from Eastern Washington University in 1987.
She moved to Seattle in 1988 and was a partner in APT Appraisal and Consulting, LLC.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Larson; and daughter, Nona; two sisters, Julie Trent of Spokane and Sarah Trent of London.
Roy ‘Van’ Vander Does Spokane
Memorial service for Roy Carl “Van” Vander Does, 79, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home.
Mr. Vander Does, who was born in Spokane, died Tuesday.
He served in the Army from 1943 to 1945 as a tail gunner.
Mr. Vander Does and his wife owned and operated Van’s Dog Kennels until 1960. He later worked as a driver and supervisor until 1990 for the former Steiner Corp., now known as American Linen.
He was a member of the Teamsters Local 582 and the Big Game Council.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Georgie; four daughters, Lenora Oberst, Kathleen Payton and Fay Virene, all of Spokane, and Karen Harris of Ashburn, Va.; 20 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Craig Rettkowski Wilbur, Wash.
Funeral for Craig E. Rettkowski, 54, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Wilbur Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at the Wilbur Cemetery. Strate Funeral Home in Wilbur is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Rettkowski, who was born in Spokane, died Tuesday.
He graduated from Wilbur High School in 1962 and from Pacific Lutheran University in 1967.
In 1970, he was elected Lincoln County Fire District 7 commissioner.
Mr. Rettkowski was a member of the Lincoln County Emergency Communications Committee, the Washington State Dry Pea and Lentil Committee, the Washington Association of Wheat Growers, and was the Scoutmaster for Wilbur Boy Scouts Troop 779.
Survivors include his wife, Becky; a daughter, Lynne Nee, and a son, Chris Rettkowski, both of Wilbur; his mother, Nina Rettkowski; a brother, Gale Rettowski, and a sister, Sheron Rosman, all of Wilbur.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wilbur Boy Scouts Troop 779, Wilbur Ambulance Fund or Wilbur Lutheran Church.
Harry Rector Spokane
Private cremation will be held for Harry D. Rector. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Rector, who was born in Laverne, Okla. died Wednesday. He was 79.
He served in the Navy during World War II as an aerial photographer, taking pictures for map charting.
After the war, Mr. Rector worked for Ross Printing in Spokane for nearly 20 years doing photo lithography.
His wife of 48 years, Bonnie, died in 1996.
Survivors include three sons, Nick Lorentz of Spokane, Bob Rector of Mira Loma, Calif., and Jim Lorentz of Torrence, Calif.; 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Zelva Albert Boise
Funeral for Zelva L. Albert, 82, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse, Wash. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Palouse.
Mrs. Albert, who was born in Palouse, died May 29.
She graduated from Palouse High School in 1934 and then moved to Spokane to attend Kinman Business College.
In 1937 she married Phillip Albert and they farmed in the Turnbow Flats area near Palouse from 1940 until 1965, when they moved to Spokane. A short time later, they moved to Bozeman, Mont. In 1980, Mrs. Albert and her husband moved to Boise.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Gordon Albert of Nampa, Idaho; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Ruth Inks Deer Park
Funeral for Ruth Agnes James Inks, 88, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Lauer Funeral Home in Deer Park. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
Mrs. Inks, who was born in Deer Park, died Tuesday.
In 1930 she married Joseph James. He died in 1954.
She worked as a clerk at Newberry’s and retired in the mid 1950s.
In 1958, she married Roy Inks. He died in 1971.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Lenhard and Carol Lakewold, both of Colville; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
