Three Men Rob West Spokane Motel

From Staff

Three men robbed the desk clerk at a west Spokane motel early Friday, police said.

The robbers - one armed with a handgun - rushed into the lobby of the Rodeway Inn Airport at 2:30 a.m. One of them jumped over the counter and forced the clerk to open the cash drawer. He took some money and the three ran from the building.

They left in a white Toyota 4Runner, the clerk told police. A similar vehicle, which was reported stolen earlier, was found by officers near the motel. Police believe the three left the area in a second vehicle.

The suspects were described as Hispanic, in their late teens or early 20s. The man with the weapon was thin, about 6 feet tall, weighing 140 to 150 pounds.
