Planning to climb Washington’s Mount St. Helens? Here are some helpful details and contacts within the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument:

Climbing Permit $15 per person. Hiking permit, $8. For hiking info, call (360) 247-3943.

Only 100 climbing permits allowed each day, May 15-Oct. 31.

Recorded road and climbing information and details on making climbing reservations, (360) 247-3961.

Unlimited permits allowed Nov. 1-May 14, available along Highway 503 at Jack’s Restaurant in Cougar.
