Autopsy Due On Body From River

An autopsy will be conducted today on a decomposed body found floating in the Spokane River.

A fisherman found the body Saturday near a campground in Riverside State Park northwest of the city.

Investigators have an idea as to the body’s identity, but cannot be sure until the autopsy is finished, police spokesman Dick Cottam said.

No further details were released.
