Crew Chiefs Traded

In an effort to shake up two teams that have struggled of late, Richard Childress, owner of Dale Earnhardt’s No. 3 Winston Cup car and Mike Skinner’s No. 31, decided to swap crew chiefs between the teams.

Earnhardt’s crew chief, Larry McReynolds, will move to Skinner’s team and Skinner’s chief, Kevin Hamlin - who was considered for Earnhardt’s team before McReynolds was hired - will take over for Earnhardt.

Both moves are effective immediately and both men will be working for their new drivers this weekend during the Miller Lite 400 at Michigan Speedway in Brooklyn, Mich.
