Spotlight: Skirts-‘N’-Dirt

They may spell it funny, but Skurtzendirt, the women’s mountain biking clinic June 27-28 at Farragut State Park, has a serious goal - to introduce women to mountain biking.

It’s two days of instruction and fun - stuff like grunting up hills, splashing through mudholes, sailing through the air. It’s geared toward the beginning rider, but the more advanced can get just as much out of the two-day clinic and campout.

Cost is $50, which includes campgrounds reservations, insurance, freebies, dinner and breakfast. Participants need to provide their own lunch both days.
