Alice Shawver Moscow, Idaho
Funeral for Alice E. Shawver, 94, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Nazarene in Princeton, Idaho. Burial will follow at the Freeze Cemetery north of Potlatch, Idaho. Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Shawver, who was born in Grant County, Mo., died Thursday.
In 1919 she married Dewey Shawver Sr. in Lyons, Neb., where they farmed until 1952.
The couple moved to Princeton in 1952, and she moved to Moscow in 1994.
Mrs. Shawver was a homemaker and was a member of Princeton Church of the Nazarene, Princeton Community Club and the National Missionary Women’s Society.
Her husband died in 1995.
Survivors include a son, Dewey Shawver Jr. of Potlatch; two daughters, Alice Besst of Princeton and Lillian Judd of Waitsburg, Wash.; two sisters, Clara Phillips of St. Maries and Grace Webster of Centerville, S.D.; 13 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 27 great-great-grandchildren.

Ethel Eaton Coeur d’Alene
Memorial service for Ethel Louise Eaton, 91, will be today at 11:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Coeur d’Alene. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Eaton, who was born in Minnesota, died Thursday.
A resident of Coeur d’Alene since 1924, Mrs. Eaton was a volunteer with the American Cancer Association and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
She was also a volunteer at Kootenai Medical Center’s gift shop and at North Idaho Museum.
Mrs. Eaton was a member of Community United Methodist Church and past member of the Jewett House board of directors.
Her husband, Jack, died in 1988.
Survivors include two sons, Jack Eaton of Vancouver, Wash., and Verne Eaton of Spokane; two brothers, Lloyd Mielke of Missouri and Reyo Mielke of Arizona; and two sisters, Eleanor Robinson of Spokane and Dorothy Wilson of Seattle.
Sidney Miller Cheney
Memorial service for Sidney B. Miller, 75, will be at a later date. Cheney Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Miller, who was born in Fowler, Kan., died Thursday.
He was a chemical engineer in various locations before retiring in 1983 and moving to Cheney.
Mr. Miller owned and operated the Red Barn Sharpening Shop in Cheney for 10 years.
He was a member of Cheney Community Church.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Margaret; two daughters, Cheryl Gross of Tennessee and Linda Campbell of Cheney; three sisters; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cheney Community Church or Cheney Care Centers.
Marian Runyan Spokane
Funeral for Marian H. Runyan, 85, will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. A private inurnment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mrs. Runyan, a lifetime resident of Spokane, died Wednesday.
She was a homemaker and was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Altar Society, Camp Fire Girls and Cub Scouts.
Her husband, Virgil Runyan, died in 1995.
Survivors include a son, Robert Runyan of Richland; a daughter, Mary Curtis of Spokane; a brother, Richard Taylor of Spokane; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
James Ryan Sr. Spokane
Rosary for James Desmond Ryan Sr., 71, will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at Riplinger Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mr. Ryan, a lifetime resident of Spokane, died Tuesday.
He was served with the Navy during World War II.
Mr. Ryan worked as a switchman for the Great Northern Railway and later for Burlington Northern.
He was a 40-year member of the United Transportation Union and a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1474.
Survivors include his wife, Bea; two sons, James Ryan Jr. of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and William Ryan of Spokane; and a brother, Dermot Ryan of Spokane.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children or the Father Robert Goebel Scholarship Fund.
Albert Clark Spokane
Graveside service for Albert H. Clark, 97, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at City Cemetery, Salt Lake City. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Clark, who was born in Hull, England, died Wednesday.
In 1924 he married Marie Russell in Salt Lake City.
Mr. Clark worked for Cater Motor Freight in Spokane from 1943 to 1946. He was co-owner of Lincoln Street Motors from 1946 to 1951.
He later moved to Long Beach, Calif., where he worked in the Long Beach School District Custodial Department. He retired in 1966. His wife died in 1970.
Mr. Clark returned to Spokane in 1985.
He is survived by three sons, Albert Howard of Spokane, George Russell of San Diego and John Clark of Colorado Springs; a daughter, Jananne Usher of Spokane; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Yvonne ‘Bonnie’ March La Center, Wash.
No service will be held for Yvonne “Bonnie” March, 56, at her request. Holman’s Funeral Service in Portland is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. March, who was born in Kirkland, Wash., died Wednesday.
She graduated from Ellensburg High School and had worked for Pacific Gas Transmission, now PG&E Gas Transmission-Northwest, for 34 years as a coordinator.
Mrs. March assisted with United Way through her employment at the gas company and was involved with the gas company scholarship program. She also volunteered at women’s shelters in Spokane.
She was a 34-year resident of Spokane before moving to Vancouver, Wash., five years ago. She recently moved to La Center.
Survivors include a husband, Brian of La Center; a daughter, Minde Allison of Spokane; two sisters, Sandara Holiday of Bellingham and Jo Bryant of Bellevue; and a granddaughter.
Julie Ingram Spokane
Visitation for Julie A. Ingram, 40, will be today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South. Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Beacon Chapel.
Mrs. Ingram, who was born in Carmel, Calif., died Wednesday.
In 1982 she graduated from San Jose State University with a bachelor’s degree in music and later moved to Spokane.
Mrs. Ingram was pursuing a nursing degree at Spokane Community College.
Survivors include her husband, Rick; two sons, Jason and Joel Ingram, both at the home; a daughter, Jessica Ingram, at home; her parents, Vincent and Frances Fend of Los Gatos, Calif.; and a brother, Steve Fend of California.
