10-Year-Old Crashes Car; Five Hurt

A 10-year-old boy and four juvenile passengers were injured when the car he was driving crashed into a ditch on Tramm Road 1-1/2 miles north of Highway 2 on Sunday morning.

The Spokane boy was driving southbound in a 1989 Chrysler La Baron convertible when it crossed the center lane and crashed into a ditch at 9:45 a.m.

The boy, who had head pain, was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital, where he was treated and released.

Three of the four passengers - two 11-year-old girls and a 9-year-old boy - were also taken to Deaconess where they were treated and released.

A 13-year-old boy from Reardan had a skull fracture and was taken to Deaconess Medical Center. Police did not know his condition.
