Helen Mason Spokane

Helen Gertrude (Kulas) Mason celebrated her 100th birthday June 7.

She was born June 7, 1898, in Dodge, Wis.

In 1916 she married Charles Frank Mason.

She and her husband farmed in North Dakota until moving to Spokane in 1951.

Her husband died in 1969.

Mason is the mother of Merle Mason, Cody, Wyo.; Violet Anderson, Seattle; William Mason, Bowman, N.D.; Jerry Mason, Pacific, Mo.; and Ted and Jack Mason, both of Spokane; and the late Robert Mason and Arlene Brown.

Mason has 25 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

She attributes her longevity to the love of family and always looking forward to tomorrow.
