‘Titanic’ Soundtrack No. 1 Again
For the seventh consecutive week, the soundtrack to “Titanic” remains anchored in the No. 1 port, coasting to 563,000 copies sold in its 14th week of release, according to SoundScan reports.
With this week’s total, the “Titanic” score album has set a new SoundScan record, becoming the first album to sell more than 550,000 copies a week for five consecutive weeks, according to Sony Music.
The album was certified seven times platinum (for 7 million copies sold) in the United States. It is the No. 1 album in 19 countries and is platinum or multiplatinum in 24 countries.
