Dear Heloise: I would like to share a hint I accidentally discovered recently.

I purchased a swivel-type spray attachment for my kitchen faucet. Try as I might, I could not unscrew the old one off the faucet by using pliers and wrenches. In desperation, I got the nutcracker out of the utility drawer, and the attachment came right off without much of a struggle. - Grace McIntosh, Camarillo, Calif.

Dear Heloise: In reply to Joe, who has trouble reading the measuring marks on the cups that come with liquid cold products, he can try using a black or dark-colored felt-tip pen to lightly color the measuring marks. They are usually raised from the surface of the cup and should color easily. - Ken Munnerlyn, Abita Springs, La.
