UI Tiger Project Featured On TV Show

The University of Idaho’s Hornocker Wildlife Institute will be featured on Discovery News three days this week.

An ABC television crew visited campus in late February for a broadcast on the Siberian Tiger Project, which the institute operates in the Russian Far East. The special half-hour of tiger topics will appear on Discovery News on the Discovery Channel on Friday at 9 p.m., Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and Sunday at 12:30 p.m.

The Hornocker Wildlife Institute is renowned for its studies of large carnivores. The Siberian Tiger Project is a 6-year-old research effort aimed at developing conservation plans.
