Man Driving Semi-Truck Tries To Kidnap Woman At Gunpoint

A man driving a semi-truck attempted to kidnap a woman at gunpoint Wednesday night in east Spokane, police said.

The 30-year-old woman told police a man jumped from the truck he was driving near Sprague and Regal about 10:30 p.m.

He ordered the woman at gunpoint into the truck, but she ran to a phone booth and called police.

The man got into the truck, drove around a corner to hook up a trailer and drove back toward the woman, police said.

She ran into a Zip’s restaurant and called police again. The man drove away.

Police were unable to provide a description of the man.
