Alpine skiing/Snowboards
Mount Spokane is holding an All-Comer’s Ski Team Race for local high schools Saturday. Skiers may compete on skis, snowboards or teli-skis. Four-person teams need to choose a name that includes their school’s name. Info: (509) 238-6281.
Celebrate the “Spirit of Winter” show tonight at The Big Mountain in Whitefish, Montana. The Ski and Snowboard Demo team will perform snow stunts at 7, followed by a torchlight parade and fireworks. Saturday kicks off the “Go Big or Go Home Half-Pipe Competition” that lasts through Sunday. Info: (406) 862-2900.
Saturday, the Chewelah Ski Club is hosting “Yosemite Sam Day” at 49 Degrees North. It consists of a single slalom fun race and a Bavarian Race. Sunday will be Old-Timer’s Day, with 64 years of skiing history on display. Info: (509) 935-6649.

Great spring-like skiing continues in the Methow Valley with the Mazama Country Inn trails and the Rendezvous System being groomed for the weekend.
Snowboarding
Whitewater Resort in Canada is hosting a Snowboard Cup on Sunday. The Giant Slalom will start at 10 a.m. and the Slope Style at noon. Registration fee is $15, which includes the races, prizes and a T-shirt. Info: (800) 666-9420.
