Bohn Offered UI’s A.D. Job

The University of Idaho apparently has found a new athletic director. Colorado State associate A.D. Mike Bohn has been offered the job, sources close to the situation said.

Bohn is expected to visit UI president Bob Hoover in Moscow on Sunday to iron out contract details. Announcement of his appointment could come next week.

Bohn is enthusiastic about the opportunity and plans to spend next week in Moscow to begin the process of relocating his family, the source said.

Bohn, 37, has been in charge of external operations at CSU for three years. Previously, he was director of marketing at the College Football Association for three years and an assistant A.D. at Air Force for eight years.

Bohn would replace Oval Jaynes, who left Idaho after 16 months to take a similar position at Tennessee-Chattanooga.

Bohn was one of four finalists and was the last to interview.

Bohn and his wife have a 14-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old son.
