Derald and Phillis Lyman of Spokane celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception at Whitworth Community Presbyterian Church Saturday.

Hosts for the event were their children and spouses: Gayle Colman, Dave and Teri Herman, and Norman and Debby Gillies, all of Spokane; and Douglas and Ellen Lyman, Newport, Wash.

The Lymans were married March 5, 1948, in Spokane. They have 11 grandchildren.
