Humanities Council Makes Grants Available
Money is available to help Idaho residents develop museum exhibits, preserve historic photographs, complete oral history projects and sponsor writers’ lectures.
Rick Ardinger, director of the Idaho Humanities Council, will explain the availability of grants for those kinds of projects when he visits Sandpoint and Wallace this month.
He will speak at 7 p.m. March 23 in the boardroom at Connie’s Best Western motel in Sandpoint, and 7 p.m. March 24 in the conference room of the Wallace Inn Best Western. The meetings are open to the public.
Council grants are available to individuals and organizations. Ardinger also will explain the council’s new speakers bureau, a free service offered to libraries, civic groups and other organizations. The council also offers incentive grants to teachers and research fellowships to humanities scholars.
