‘Houses Of Prayer’ Director Will Speak
“A Seminar on Houses of Prayer Everywhere,” sponsored by the Greater Spokane Association of Evangelicals, will be from noon to 3 p.m. April 1 at the Old Country Buffet, 5004 N. Division.
Featured speaker will be Alvin Vander Griend, director of Houses of Prayer Everywhere, a part of Hope Ministries of Grand Rapids, Mich.
The seminar’s four “prayer strategies” will be “Building Your Personal Prayer Life,” “Preaching on Prayer,” “Your Church” and “Your City.”

Beatitudes will be topic
A program on “The Beatitudes on a Spiritual Guide: Living and Writing Your Own Beatitudes” will be at 1:30 p.m. next Saturday at the Clare Center, 4624 E. Jamieson Road, a half-mile east of the Palouse Highway.
The Bible’s beatitudes reveal the spirit of Jesus, said Sister Eileen Neumann, a Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration in Spokane. She will teach seminar participants to write their own beatitudes as creative expressions of prayer.
Cost is $10.

Prophecy teacher to speak
The Apostolic Truth Tabernacle, 1803 E. DeSmet, will host a three-day prophecy conference beginning at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and continuing through Friday.
The Rev. Dan Barkley, a Bible prophecy teacher and associate of Endtime Magazine, will be the featured speaker.
Endtime officials claim future events are predictable, based on biblical prophesies.

Dorcas retreat scheduled
“Go In Peace,” a retreat sponsored by the Dorcas Ministry of Spokane, will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. next Saturday at the Full Gospel Tabernacle, 3302 E. Liberty.
Elaine Watts, Edie Sevy, Jonnie Jones and the Rev. Cynthia Steele will speak.
Dorcas Ministry hosts women’s retreats bimonthly.
Cost is $10 at the door. Participants are asked to bring a brown bag lunch.

Concert scheduled tonight
St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Hayden, Idaho, will host the Choir and Wind Ensemble of Portland Lutheran High School in concert at 7 tonight.
The free event is part of the school’s annual Sacred Concert Tour of the Northwest.
The concert will include music of various styles and traditions.
A free-will offering will be collected to help the group cover its expenses.
