Proposed Nfl Game At Albi Does Fast Fade

Chances of the Seahawks playing a preseason football game at Albi Stadium have dwindled from favorable to highly doubtful, a team official said Friday.

The San Francisco 49ers’ preliminary preseason schedule doesn’t include a game with the Seahawks at Albi.

Seattle and the 49ers tentatively are scheduled to play twice - Aug. 15 in Vancouver and Aug. 28 in Seattle.

The Seahawks had hoped to play the 49ers in Spokane, but “we’re not as hopeful as we once were,” a Seahawks official said. “It’s gone from 90 percent (probable) to maybe 10 percent.”

San Francisco apparently wasn’t enamored with the small size of Albi Stadium in comparison with NFL stadiums.
