Lennox Lewis faces Shannon Briggs in Convention Hall at Atlantic City, N.J., tonight with Lewis trying to defend the WBC heavyweight championship. The bout also will be on HBO.

In Telford, England, Britain’s Richie Woodhall won a unanimous 12-round decision over reigning champion Thulane “Sugar Boy” Malinga of South Africa to claim the WBC super middleweight title.

Undefeated heavyweight Lawrence Clay-Bey justified his status as one of the division’s brightest prospects with a fourth-round TKO over Nate Tubbs in Atlantic City, N.J.
