Ted Vanairsdale Hayden, Idaho
Vigil for Ted Miles Vanairsdale, 71, will be Sunday at 7 p.m. at English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene. Funeral Mass will be Monday at noon at St. Pius Catholic Church in Coeur d’Alene. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene.
Mr. Vanairsdale, who was born in Orofino, Idaho, died Thursday.
He lived in Newport, Wash., from 1939 to 1969 where he owned a hardware store and then worked in Alaska supplying industrial hardware during the construction of the Alaska Pipeline.
Mr. Vanairsdale then moved to the Hayden area in 1988 and was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church. He was a former member of the Newport Kiwanis, Newport City Council, and Newport Hospital board.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Phyllis; two sons, Randolph Vanairsdale of California and David Vanairsdale of Alaska; five daughters, Teresa Vanairsdale of Hayden, Helen Nehls of Yakima, Wash., Carol Vanairsdale of California, and Mary Lou Luevano and Janet McQuown, both of Arkansas; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Daniel Tesch Junction City, Kan.
Memorial service for Daniel Perry Tesch, 43, will be today at 11 a.m. at St. George Catholic Church in Post Falls. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Tesch, who was born in Minnesota, died May 2 in a boating accident in Orlando, Fla.
Mr. Tesch grew up in Minnesota and joined the Army in 1972, serving for 20 years before retiring and moving to Kansas.
He worked as an automobile mechanic and then opened Dad’s Garage in Kansas.
Mr. Tesch was attending marine mechanical school in Florida.
Survivors include a son and daughter, Garrett and Christine Tesch, both of Germany; his parents, Elmer and Marie Tesch of Post Falls; his fiancee, Mal Sun Tompkins of Kansas; three brothers, Paul Tesch of Newman Lake, Wash., Jeffery Tesch of Coeur d’Alene, and Christopher Tesch of Spokane; three sisters, Mary Amundeon and Cheryl Lowe, both of Minnesota, and Michelle Welker of Post Falls.
Frank Carney Spokane
Memorial service for Frank James Carney, 68, will be at 1 p.m. May 16 at Fourth Memorial Church. Mountain View Mortuary in San Bernardino, Calif., is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Carney, who was born in Chicago, died Wednesday in San Bernardino, Calif., while on vacation.
He graduated from high school in Chicago in 1948 and then served in the Air Force. He was honorably discharged in 1952 at the rank of staff sergeant, while stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane where he held a National Security clearance, enabling him to handle nuclear weapons during the Korean War.
In 1951 he married Marvelene Roach. They made their home in Spokane, where he worked as a salesman for several automobile and recreational vehicle dealerships.
Mr. Carney was a member of the Spokane Walleye Club, the National Rifle Association and was a supporter of the Spokane Symphony Orchestra.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Denise Tritt of Spokane and Judith Hoeykens of Vancouver, Wash.; a son, Thomas Carney of Spokane; and three grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Spokane Walleye Club or Deaconess Medical Center Foundation.
Ina Painter Priest River, Idaho
Memorial service for Ina Inga Painter, 86, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Priest River. Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Newport, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Painter, who was born in Loomis, Wash., died Wednesday.
In 1949 she married Ivan Painter in Oroville, Wash., and they moved in 1950 to the Priest River area.
She worked for many years at the IGA grocery store in Priest River and later at the dry cleaning shop.
Mrs. Painter was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Rebekah Lodge and helped paint eggs for the Lions Club during Easter.
She was an active gardener and seamstress.
Her husband died in 1988.
Mrs. Painter is survived by three daughters, Lois Hamacher of Oldtown, Idaho, Kay Rhodes of Boise and Donna Grossman of Winton, Calif.; three sisters, Belle Sessions of Riverside, Calif., Saide Berg of Wilkeson, Wash., and Edith Rainier of Bremerton; a brother, Jesse Jones of Bremerton; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Bruce Chandler Vancouver, Wash.
Funeral for Bruce Burroughs Chandler, 53, is planned for 2 p.m. today at Evergreen Staples Funeral Chapel in Vancouver. Burial will follow at Northwood Park Cemetery in Vancouver.
Mr. Chandler, who was born in Eugene, Ore., died Tuesday.
He moved to Spokane as a boy and graduated from Northwest Christian High School.
Mr. Chandler received a degree in economics from Whitworth College and worked in Spokane as a financial planner for Ideas Financial Services.
He moved to Vancouver eight years ago.
Mr. Chandler was a member of the Spokane Corvette Club.
Survivors include his wife, Lynette; a daughter, Lisa Chandler, and a son, Russell Chandler, both of Spokane; three stepsons, Matthew Davis of Spokane, Aaron Davis of Bingen, Wash., and Jon Davis of Kansas City, Mo.; his father, Henry Chandler of Roseburg, Ore.; a brother, Henry Chandler III of Roseburg; and seven grandchildren.
Mabel Dickey Spokane
Graveside service for Mabel Dickey, 96, will be at 11 a.m. today at Fairmount Memorial Park. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home - South is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Dickey, who was born in Newport, Wash., died Wednesday.
She graduated from nurse’s training in Olympia and then worked as a licensed practical nurse at Spokane area nursing homes.
Survivors include three sisters, Evelyn Worthington and Florence Glenn, both of Spokane and Lorraine Triplett of Sutherlin, Ore.; and a brother, Delmar Davis of St. John, Wash.

Phyllis Carter Spokane
Memorial service for Phyllis Ann Carter, 57, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Mountain View Assembly of God Church. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Carter, who was born in San Francisco, died Wednesday.
She was a 20-year resident of Spokane and had worked as a registered nurse for 17 years.
Mrs. Carter was a member of the Christian faith.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; three daughters, Dawn Carter, Dusty Godwin and Anna Workman; a son, Joseph Lucas; a stepson, Brian Carter; a stepdaughter, Lisa Carter; and a brother, Dan Lucas.
Arnold Moss Spokane
Memorial service for Arnold K. Moss, 87, will be at 9 a.m. today at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Moss, who was born in Dalkena, Wash., died Tuesday.
He moved to Spokane as a child.
Mr. Moss was president and owner of Keystone Framing and Manufacturing Company.
He was past potentate of the El Katif Shrine, past president of the Rotary Club and past president of Timber Product Manufacturers.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Marianne; a daughter, Janice Barach of Tacoma; a son, Alfred Moss of Danville, Calif.; a brother, Richard Moss of Spokane; and two grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
George Heimbigner Spokane
Visitation for George B. Heimbigner, 84, will be from noon to 6 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Mr. Heimbigner, a 58-year Spokane resident, died Wednesday.
He was born in Odessa, Wash., and graduated from Harrington (Wash.) High School.
Mr. Heimbigner worked for Carnation Dairy as a painter and mechanic for many years.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge.
His wife, Velma Heimbigner, preceded him in death.
Survivors include three sons, Stanley and Michael Heimbigner, both of Spokane and Larry Heimbigner of Ellensburg; three sisters, Clara Kupers and Lily Hume, both of Spokane and Frances Lenhart of Ritzville, Wash.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mary Kinlow Spokane
Visitation for Mary K. Kinlow, 88, will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home - South. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Full Gospel Missions For All Nations. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Mrs. Kinlow, who was born in Tucker, Ark., died Wednesday.
In 1927, she married Ezra Kinlow Sr. in Jefferson County, Ark.
She was a member of the Holy Temple Church of God and Christ in Dumas, Ark., for more than 40 years.
She traveled with her husband during his ministry and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Kinlow moved to Spokane in the early 1990s and was a member of the Holy Temple Church of God and Christ in Spokane.
Her husband died in 1973.
Survivors include three sons, Ezra Kinlow of Spokane, Samuel Kinlow of Tacoma and Eugene Kinlow of Washington, D.C.; four daughters, Alice Hunt of Dumas, Alma Robertson of Spanaway, Wash., Jerilean Brewer of Dumas, and Ala Corvin of Tacoma; a brother, Vernon Lewis of Chicago; 41 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Alfred ‘Bob’ Holm Spokane
Funeral for Alfred R. “Bob” Holm, 66, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Riplinger Funeral Home. Private entombment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mr. Holm, a 30-year resident of Spokane, died Wednesday.
Mr. Holm, who was born in Portland, served in the Air Force. He did aircraft and automobile maintenance at Fairchild Air Force Base before retiring.
Mr. Holm was a member of the Manito Methodist Church, the Spokane Masonic Lodge 34, the York Rite Bodies, the El Katif Shrine, the El Katif Shrine Provost Guard, the Shrine/Masonic Bowling League, and was a DeMolay Dad.
He was active with the Shrine Duck Race and was involved in the numerous activities the Shriners put on around the Inland Empire.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; a son, Donald Holm of Spokane; two sisters, Betty Urban of Vancouver, Wash., and Delores Jerkins of Portland; a stepbrother, Earl Barton of Portland and two granddaughters.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
Gladys McLain Spokane
Funeral for Gladys R. McLain, 89, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Strate Funeral Home in Davenport, Wash. Burial will follow at Reardan Cemetery.
Mrs. McLain, who died Wednesday, was born in Riverside, Calif.
She lived in Reardan for 52 years and was a homemaker.
Mrs. McLain was a member of the 40 Et. 8, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Rebekah Lodge.
She moved to Spokane a few months ago.
Her husband, Loyd McLain, died in January.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Plummer of Spokane; four sons, Franklin Kelly of Spokane, Howard Kelly of Davenport, Arch Kelly of Weldon, Calif., and Jerry McLain of Republic, Wash.; 10 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Margie Harrington Spokane
Graveside service and burial for Margie M. Harrington, 66, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Spangle Cemetery. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Harrington, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Tuesday.
She graduated from Lewis and Clark High School and worked at Bell Telephone Co. for 25 years.
Mrs. Harrington was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Her husband, Donald, died in 1994.
She is survived by a brother, William Curtis of Spokane.
