Five With Spokane-Area Ties Graduate From Basic Training

Five Inland Northwest residents recently graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

The airmen and their parents are:

Airman Heather Noble, daughter of Anne Noble, Atlanta, and Mark Noble, Nine Mile Falls.

Airman Tamara Henderson, daughter of Johnny and Gwendoline Henderson of Deer Park.

Airman 1st Class Justin Gilbreth, son of Shirley Hargrave, Spokane.

Airman Justin Parry, son of Thomas and Karen Parry, Spokane.

Airman Nathan Stull, son of Cheryl and Larry Stull, Spokane.

Mary Collins, Spokane, received the national award of Pulmonary Diagnostic Practitioner of the Year from the American Association of Respiratory Care.

Collins, a 1976 graduate of Spokane Community College, works in the pulmonary diagnostic lab at Physicians Clinic of Spokane.

Two senior civil engineering students at Gonzaga University have received scholarships:

Ryan Crockett, Newman Lake, received a $1,000 scholarship from the National Asphalt Pavement Association Research and Education Foundation.

Arvind Nerurkar, Otis Orchards, received an $800 scholarship from the Coral Sales Co. and the Douglas P. Daniel Scholarship.

Taryn Graham, Spokane, received a George W. Lotzenhiser Scholarship from Eastern Washington University given, for academic merit to students majoring in fine arts.

She is majoring in music/education.

Graham, a 1997 graduate of Riverside High School, is the daughter of Terry and Russ Graham, Chattaroy, Wash.
