Nordstrom Reports Stable Earnings

Nordstrom Inc. said fiscal first-quarter earnings were unchanged, though the department store chain beat analysts’ estimates.

Net income held steady at $32.3 million. Earnings per share rose to 43 cents from 41 cents, as Nordstrom had 4.2 percent fewer shares outstanding this quarter.
