Spotlight: Senior Games
The first Inland Northwest Senior Games kick off Saturday and Sunday with three events.
Saturday will be the track and field meet in conjunction with the Cheney Spring Thing at EWU at 9 a.m. and archery at Evergreen Archery Range beginning at 10 a.m.
The track meet also includes youth and wheelchair events.
Sunday will feature badminton and pickleball at West Central Community Center (1603 N. Belt) at 1 p.m. Besides the competition, free clinics will be held for both sports.
The only event next weekend will be the horseshoe tournament at Franklin Park, beginning at 9 a.m. Pre-registration is required.
Registration packets are available at Walgreens RXpress Pharmacies and area senior activity centers. Deadlines have been extended. Fee is $10 for first event, $4 for each additional event.
