Spotlight: First Aid

Like to hike or camp? Spend time in the outdoors?

How are your first aid skills?

The Spokane Parks Dept. is offering a wilderness first aid class June 13-14 at the Northeast Community Center (4001 N. Cook), from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.

Cost is $129. Deadline is June 1.

Classroom time will include outdoor simulation. Instructors from the Wilderness Medical Association will cover such things as extended patient care, dealing with extreme environments, patient assessment, functioning with limited equipment and is designed for the non-professional.
