Primary Election Today

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. today for Idaho’s primary election.

The election will determine which candidates will be on the ballot in the November general election.

Among the races to be determined are governor, lieutenant governor, state treasurer, controller and superintendent of public instruction.

Also on the ballot are races for U.S. congressman and senator. A variety of legislative and local races also are on the ballot.

People not yet registered may do so at the polls. Registration requires picture identification plus one other piece of documentation that shows the individual has lived in the county at least 30 days. A utility bill is one example.
