King and Janice Cole, Spokane, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary May 23 with a small gathering at Immaculate Heart Retreat House.

Hosts for the celebration were their children and spouses: Clarence and Nancy Hough, Spokane; Ellen Cole and Michael Daum, Denny and Joan Cole-Duffell, Mary and Chris Kalinski, and Martin Cole and Kit Gottberg, all of Seattle; John and Mary Ellen Cole, Ashland, Ore.; and Bruce and Cathy Cole, Camden, Maine.

The Coles were married June 12, 1948, in Red Bluff, Calif. They have 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild
