Egghead.com Inc. plans to launch a print and television advertising campaign to boost holiday season revenue for its online retail business, which sells software and computer-related products.

The campaign, which will cost between $3 million to $5 million, comes as Egghead.com revamps its three World Wide Web sites into one, which is expected to be up as soon as next week, said Chairman George Orban at the Bloomberg Internet conference.

The Spokane-based company is running ads in magazines with a “high demographic orientation toward Web users” such as Popular Science, Orban said. Ads on cable TV and in local newspapers will begin before Christmas, to spread the word that Egghead “is now online.”
