Bomb Threat Closes School

A bomb threat early Thursday delayed the opening of a Rathdrum elementary school, police said.

The threat was called into John Brown Elementary about 7:40 a.m. None of the school’s students had arrived, and police evacuated administrators.

A bomb-detecting dog from Fairchild Air Force Base was called in to search the school but found nothing.

School resumed about 10:30 a.m.
