MPM Technologies Inc. announced net income of two cents per share for the third quarter, but a loss for the year’s first nine months.

The Spokane-based holding company said Tuesday it earned $40,177, or two cents per share, for the three-month period ended Sept. 30, compared with $24,540, or one cent per share, for the same period a year ago.

Revenues more than doubled compared with year-ago totals, to $3.7 million from $1.5 million.

The loss for the nine-month period was $191,689, or 10 cents per share, compared with $49,428, or three cents per share, in 1997.

Revenues jumped to $7.1 million from $4.4 million.

Results for the nine-month period include only three months’ contribution by AirPol, a subsidiary acquired in July.

MPM subsidiaries specialize in air pollution control systems.
