Serial Killer Task Force Studies West Side Body

From Staff

The remains of a body discovered in Pierce County last week are being looked at by the Spokane serial killer task force, investigators said Monday.

Pierce County sheriff’s office investigators said they are sharing information about the homicide at the request of task force members in Spokane.

The decaying remains, believed to be those of a woman, were found Oct. 13 in Parkland, Wash. The victim appears to have been shot, Pierce County investigators said.

Although there are similarities in the cases, investigators are not now connecting the death to Spokane’s serial killer, who is believed to have murdered eight women since last fall, said Spokane task force members.
