Mary Schumacher Spokane
Vigil service for Mary Ann Schumacher, 60, will be at 5 p.m. today at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Mass is planned for noon Saturday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
A lifetime Spokane resident, Mrs. Schumacher died Tuesday.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Patrick’s Parish and the Eagles Lodge Women’s Auxiliary.
Her husband, Raymond, died in 1994.
Survivors include five sons, Michael, Raymond, James, Martin and Dan Schumacher, all of Spokane; two daughters, Kathleen Wahl of Mead and Debora Willms of Kennewick; her mother, Geraldine McDonald of Spokane; five brothers, Owen, William, Dennis, Tom and Steve McDonald, all of Spokane; five sisters, Barbara Orchard of Spokane, Dolores Orlin of Auburn, Wash., Katherin Clarke and Patricia Campbell, both of Seattle, and Theresa Hoffman of Tacoma; and 15 grandchildren.

Conal Blanchard Spokane
Memorial service for Conal Uriah Blanchard, 72, will be at 10 a.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home.
Mr. Blanchard, a longtime Spokane resident, died Monday. He was born in Cass, W. Va.
He served as an Army paratrooper during World War II and was co-owner of Inland Construction Co. from 1968 to 1977.
Mr. Blanchard was a member of the Carpenters Union and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include three sons, Conal Blanchard of Spokane, Tommy Miller of North Carolina and Bobby Blanchard; a stepson, Ronald Voss, and a stepdaughter, Darlene Donegan, both of Seattle; three sisters, Rella, Justine and Christine; and 13 grandchildren.
Dorothea Dean Spokane
Private family service for Dorothea W. Dean, 90, will be held at Riverside Memorial Park. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A longtime Spokane resident, Mrs. Dean died Tuesday. She was born in Spokane and worked as a waitress for many years.
She is survived by a nephew, Alvin Massie of Spokane.
Annie McKinsey-Glover Spokane
Visitation for Annie Ruth McKinsey-Glover, 50, will be from 9 a.m. to noon today at Heritage Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Riverside Memorial Park.
Mrs. McKinsey-Glover, who was born in Columbus, Ga., died Monday.
She graduated from Carver High School in Columbus and was a homemaker.
Mrs. McKinsey-Glover had been a resident of Spokane for 30 years.
Survivors include four sons, David, Eric and Ira McKinsey, all of Spokane and Norman McKinsey of Loon Lake; two daughters, Susannah and Pauline McKinsey, both of Spokane; two sisters, Bertha Willis of Phenix City, Ala., and Pauline Parker of Columbus; three brothers, John and J.C. Green, both of Columbus, and Homer Green of Columbus, Ohio; and seven grandchildren.
Paul Hamill Spokane
Funeral Mass for Paul J. Hamill, 73, will be at 2 p.m. today at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hamill, who was born in Great Falls, Mont., died Sunday.
He served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War.
He worked as a produce manager for Rosauers stores in Yakima and Spokane.
Mr. Hamill had been a resident of Spokane for 20 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Pat Fuller of Wapello, Iowa, and Beverly Buras of Oakville, Iowa; and four grandchildren.
Orville ‘Barney’ Casteel Spokane
No service will be held for Orville F. “Barney” Castell, 80, at his request. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Casteel, who was born in Flat River, Mo., died Tuesday.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and was a prisoner of war in Japan for three and a half years. He retired from the Air Force as a master sergeant after 21 years.
Mr. Casteel managed a Shell service station on Sprague Avenue and worked as a security guard for West Coast Grocery. He retired in 1982.
Survivors include his wife, Frances; and a sister, Mary Whaley of Farmington, Mo.
Lisa (Lemon) Sanders Spokane
Memorial service for Lisa (Lemon) Sanders, 32, is planned for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Spokane Valley Calvary Chapel. Private graveside service was held at Mount Hope Cemetery. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sanders, who died Oct. 9, was born in Roswell, N.M.
She graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1984 and married Derek Sanders in 1986.
Mrs. Sanders was the manager at Reflections Boutique for many years.
Survivors include her husband; her mother, Elisabeth Lemon of Spokane; her father, Samuel Lemon of Riverside, Calif.; a brother, Samuel Lemon of Spokane; her grandparents, Kenneth and Theda Reboul of Salina, Kan., and Mary Lemon of Hopedale, Ohio.

Lyle Stitt Spokane
Vigil service for Lyle J. Stitt, 66, is planned for 7 p.m. today at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mr. Stitt, who was born in Grand Forks, N.D., died Tuesday.
He served in the Army and worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad for 42 years.
Mr. Stitt was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Association of Retired Persons, the American Legion and the Railroad Retirees.
His wife, Velmina, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, Mike Nelson, and a daughter, Debbie Smith, both of Spokane; a sister, Jerry McCloud of Mississippi; and three grandchildren.

Guy Copenhaver Wilbur, Wash.
Inurnment for Guy C. Copenhaver, 78, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Wilbur Cemetery. Strate Funeral Home in Wilbur is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Copenhaver, who was born in Spokane, died Monday.
He graduated from Wilbur High School and worked as a wheat farmer and cattleman in the Wilbur area all of his life.
Mr. Copenhaver is survived by three sons, Gary Copenhaver of Spokane, Bill Copenhaver of Wilbur and Don Copenhaver of Creston, Wash.; a sister, Frances Hanson of Wilbur; 10 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren.
Paul Riehle Wilson Creek, Wash.
Private graveside service for Paul Wesley Riehle, 79, will be held at Wilson Creek Cemetery. Memorial service is planned for noon Saturday at Wilson Creek Grace Baptist Church. Strate Funeral Home in Davenport, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Harrington, Wash., Mr. Riehle died Tuesday.
He graduated from Davenport High School in 1937 and later married Gladys Birdsell.
Mr. Riehle was a farmer in Wilson Creek for many years.
Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Robinson of Wilson Creek; three sons, Wesley Riehle of Spokane, Richard Riehle of St. John, Wash., and Wayne Riehle of Wilson Creek; five brothers, Albert Riehle of Spokane, Dave Riehle of Nine Mile Falls, Dan Riehle of Deer Park, Phil Riehle of Cheney and Fred Riehle of Wenatchee; and 12 grandchildren.
Marjorie Brooks Spokane
Funeral for Marjorie I. Brooks, 90, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park. Burial will follow. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Brooks, who was born in Grand Forks, British Columbia, died Monday.
She began working as a printer in the composing room at The SpokesmanReview in 1966, retiring in 1973.
Mrs. Brooks was a member of St. Thomas More Parish and the Typographical Union Women’s Auxiliary.
Her husband, Oba, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Thompson of Spokane; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Earl Barger Concord, Calif.
Visitation for Earl Barger, 79, will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Private burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
A former longtime Spokane resident, Mr. Barger died Tuesday.
He served for 20 years in the Navy and later became a teacher in the Wilbur, Wash., and Edwall, Wash., school districts.
Mr. Barger was a resident of Spokane from 1960 until last year, when he moved to Concord.
He was a member of the Washington State Retired Teachers Association and Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Dan Barger of Concord; two sisters, Mary Nobriega of Hayward, Calif., and Betty Sprague of Oakland, Calif.; and two grandsons.
