4Him To Appear In Pullman

Nina Culver Correspondent

One of today’s most popular groups in contemporary Christian music will be stopping by Pullman Wednesday for what could well be a sold-out concert. 4Him will perform at Living Faith Fellowship Church with Jaci Velasquez and special guest Michelle Tumes.

4Him released its debut album in 1990 and immediately had a No. 1 hit on Billboard’s contemporary Christian chart with the single “Where There Is Faith.” The group’s four members - Andy Chrisman, Mark Harris, Marty Magehee and Kirk Sullivan - won Dove Awards for Group of the Year in 1993, 1994 and 1995. The group has had nearly 20 No. 1 hits during its explosive career and continues its success with its latest album, “Obvious.”

Jaci Velasquez is only 18, but that didn’t stop her from winning the Dove Award for New Artist of the Year in 1997. Several of her songs have hit the top of the Christian chart, and her self-titled debut album has been setting sales records across the United States.

Singer Michelle Tumes, originally from Australia, is a newcomer to the music scene. Her latest song, “Healing Waters,” reached No. 1 on the contemporary Christian music charts.

Wednesday’s concert begins at 7 p.m. at Living Faith Fellowship, 1035 S. Grand, Pullman.
