Donna Burrows Airway Heights

Visitation for Donna D. Burrows, 54, will be from noon to 1 p.m. today at Airway Heights First Baptist Church. Funeral will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the the church. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North is in charge of arrangements.

Born in North Platte, Neb., Mrs. Burrows died Monday.

She graduated from St. Joseph Academy in Omaha, Neb., in 1961.

In 1962 she married John Burrows.

She moved to Spokane in 1978 from Arizona.

Mrs. Burrows was a homemaker and member of Airway Heights First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Richard Burrows of Spokane; two daughters, Debra and Karen Burrows, both of Spokane; her parents, Juaneta and Ernest Williams of North Platte; a brother, Duane Scott of North Platte; and three grandchildren.

Anne Pizelo Spokane

Vigil for Anne Pizelo, 87, will be at 7 p.m. today at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Mass is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday at Mary Queen Catholic Church. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Born in Blackfoot, Mont., Mrs. Pizelo died Wednesday.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Mary Queen Parish, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the Marine Mothers Philomenthia Club.

Mrs. Pizelo was a 70-year Spokane resident.

Her husband Phillip died in 1969.

Survivors include three sons, Philip and James Pizelo, both of Spokane, and Angelo Pizelo of Oakhusrt, Calif.; a daughter, Sister Ann Pizelo, S.N.J.M, of Spokane; a sister, Loretta Schubert of Spokane; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane, Mary Queen Parish or the Sisters of the Holy Names.

Frances Mills Colfax, Wash.

Graveside service for Frances Mae Mills, a lifetime Whitman County resident, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Colfax Cemetery. Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Mills, who was born in St. John, Wash., died Tuesday. She was 91.

She married Millard Bidle in 1932, and they made their home in Albion, Wash. He died in 1955. She later married Bob Mills, and he died in the mid-1960s.

Most recently she was a resident of the Whitman Health and Rehab Center in Colfax.

Mrs. Mills was a member of the Albion Grange and the Pythian Sisters. She also played the piano at Grange dances and meetings for many years.

Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.

Harry Kendall Deer Park

Funeral for Harry H. Kendall, 83, will be at 2 p.m. today at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Private burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.

Mr. Kendall, who was born in Great Falls, Mont., died Monday.

He was a farmer in the Deer Park area for 62 years and was a member of Central Baptist Church and the National Rifle Association and was a contributor to the Whitworth Foundation.

His wife, Grace, died in 1981.

Survivors include three sons, Frank and Harold Kendall, both of Deer Park and Albert Kendall of Graham, Wash.; a daughter, Fern Stauffer of Deer Park; a sister, Charlotte Snell of Deer Park; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Eastern Washington Chapter.

Phyllis Heumier Coeur d’Alene

Visitation for Phyllis Jean Heumier, 60, will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene. Memorial service will be today at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Coeur d’Alene. Graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls.

Ms. Heumier, who was born in Pocatello, Idaho, died Saturday.

She lived in Seattle before moving to Coeur d’Alene in 1976.

Ms. Heumier had worked as a Realtor.

Survivors include three sons, Charles Correll of Spokane, Richard Correll of Florida and Todd Carlisle of California; her mother, Ruth Gordon of Coeur d’Alene; a sister, Jacquelyn Kington of Montana; and five grandchildren.

Jeanette (Ramelow) Lee Spokane

Funeral for Jeanette Katherine (Ramelow) Lee, 57, will be at 1 p.m. today at New Life Assembly of God Church. Burial will be at Pines Cemetery. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

A lifetime Spokane resident, Mrs. Lee died Monday.

She was a homemaker and artist and a longtime member of New Life Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Larry Lee Sr.; two sons, Randolph and Larry Lee Jr.; two daughters, Brenda Culver and Corinna Cox; her mother, Clara Ramelow; three sisters, Joanne Allen, Joyce Towles and Janice Harding; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Gary Davisson Spokane

No service will be held for Gary J. Davisson, 56, at his request. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Davisson, who was born in Omak, Wash., died Tuesday.

He was a 55-year Spokane resident and worked as a dishwasher in restaurants.

Survivors include numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Robert Sewell Spokane

Memorial service for Robert Sewell, 78, will be at 2 p.m. today at Central Seventh-day Adventist Church. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

A lifetime Spokane resident, Mr. Sewell died Wednesday.

He graduated in 1940 from Lewis and Clark High School and in 1944 from Gonzaga University with a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering.

Mr. Sewell worked as a civil engineer and was a member of Alpha Sigma Nu and Central Seventh-day Adventist Church. He was also selected for Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.

Survivors include his lifetime friend, Janet Miller of Spokane.

Susan Eby Spokane

Memorial service for Susan L. Eby, 45, will be at 3 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home.

Ms. Eby, who was born in Great Falls, Mont., died Wednesday.

She worked as a legal secretary and had been a resident of Spokane for 26 years.

Survivors include her companion, Larry Hagen; a son, Jeremy Eby, and two daughters, Heather and Amber Murphy, all of Spokane; her parents, Joseph and Deloris Murphy of Spokane; and a brother, Dan Murphy, and a sister, Linda Zollinger, both of Spokane.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane.

Hope Drennon Spokane

Memorial Mass for Hope M. Drennon, 68, will be at 1 p.m. today at St. Charles Catholic Church. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Los Angeles, Mrs. Drennon died Tuesday.

She was a homemaker and had lived in Spokane for 22 years.

Her husband, Lawrence, died in 1993.

Survivors include two daughters, Shaun Campbell of Spokane and Lynnette Anderson of Reston, Va.; a son, Thomas Drennon of Spokane; a brother, Robert Paedon of Vallejo, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Ernest Boggs Cusick, Wash.

Graveside military honors for Ernest Evan “Ernie” Boggs, 74, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Newport (Wash.) Cemetery. Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Newport is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Boggs, who was born in Deer Park, died Sunday.

He served in the Navy and the Marine Corps during World War II and later worked at the Diamond/ Louisiana Pacific sawmill.

Mr. Boggs moved to Cusick from Superior, Mont., 30 years ago.

In 1972 he married Florence Williams.

He was a member of the Cusick Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Carol Cordes of Newport and DeAnna Cordero of Hillsboro, Ohio; a son, Stanley Boggs of Superior; a stepdaughter, Maria Wallgash of Seattle; two stepsons, Ronald Rowe of Grand Coulee, Wash., and William Rowe of Hillsboro; 22 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Maxine (Higgins) Laughlin Spokane

Memorial service for Maxine (Higgins) Laughlin, 85, is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South.

Born in Noxon, Mont., Mrs. Laughlin died last Friday.

She moved to Everett in 1938 and then to San Francisco, where she worked at the Retail Speciality Shop for Zubor (Zuca) Stores.

Mrs. Laughlin moved back to Spokane in 1977 and worked as an inhouse supervisor for the Golda Turnbough group home for the handicapped for nine years. She retired in 1986.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Association, the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and Hayford Community Church.

Survivors include her longtime companion, George Coker of Medical Lake; a stepdaughter, Dixie Barton of Coeur d’Alene; and two stepsisters, Bettie Frank of Spokane and Dorothy Mays of Walla Walla.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane, the Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch or to Hayford Community Church.

Margaret (Jordan) Plosser Newport, Wash.

Private inurnment for Margaret Letitia (Jordan) Plosser, 91, will be held at the Newport Cemetery. Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Newport is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Plosser, who was born in Tyro, Kan., died Monday.

She served as a military nurse during World War II and worked as a schoolteacher.

Mrs. Plosser also worked at a credit bureau and ran a motel for several years.

She had been a resident of Newport since 1981.

Her husband, Joseph, died in 1975.

She is survived by a sister, Dorothy McCormick of Newport.

Dona Rogers Newport, Wash.

Graveside service for Dona Laurene Rogers, 74, was held Thursday at the Newport Cemetery.

A lifetime resident of Newport, Mrs. Rogers died Tuesday.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters, Clarene Carson of Newport and Aleta Hopkins of Oldtown, Idaho; a son, Wade Shepherd of Newport; three brothers, Wendy Stratton of Spokane, Lloyd Stratton of Newport and Wayne Stratton of Oldtown; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
