Dear Heloise: I have a corollary to the hint about keeping sunglasses with the clothespins. I keep a can of mosquito repellent near my clothespin basket so that I can spray some on before I go out with bare skin for 15 to 30 minutes. Allan Goldman

Dear Heloise: When trying to find appropriate-sized labels, they didn’t always seem to be the ones I preferred. So now I buy a roll of plain adhesive paper and cut the size I need. These make excellent mailing labels, file tabs or labels for home canning. A felt pen works great on them. S.B., Superior, Ariz.

Dear Heloise: Cut small strips of glow-in-the-dark tape and stick them on flashlights, corners and switch plates. Prevents fumbling and bumping in the dark. - Bea Ursaljko, Belle Chasse, La.
