Hours Changed For Highway 53 Work
Crews paving a stretch of state Highway 53 west from Rathdrum to the state line have changed their work hours to lessen the impact on motorists.
Work now will be done from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday through Friday, the Idaho Transportation Department said. Crews also may work some Saturdays.
No work will be done during Labor Day weekend.
The $1.2 million project is expected to be finished by late September. The speed limit along that stretch has been reduced to 45 mph while the paving work is completed.
Motorists can expect minor delays while flaggers and pilot cars guide one-way traffic through work zones.
