Hints From Heloise

Dear Heloise: When I clean my oven, I take the oven racks out in the yard, where I put the oven cleaner on them. Later, I wipe the cleaner off with paper toweling, wash the racks off with the garden hose, then wipe dry. Saves time and not as messy. Juanita Scott, McMinnville, Tenn.

Dear Heloise: I, too, have an idea for preparing frozen orange juice. The night before, I take down a can of frozen orange-juice concentrate from my freezer and put it on the bottom shelf of my refrigerator. The next morning, all I have to do is pour the juice in my juice container and prepare. - Stacey Burkard, Seattle

Dear Heloise: When dining in a fast-food restaurant, place an ice chip on a folded paper napkin. By the time you have finished your meal, the ice will have melted and you will have a moist napkin to wipe your sticky fingers. - V.R., Harrisburg, Pa.
