Egghead.Com Names Three New Directors

Egghead.com Wednesday announced the election of three new company directors. They are:

C. Scott Gibson, 46, former chief operating officer of Sequent Computer Systems, a computer manufacturing company he co-founded.

Robert T. Wall, 53, CEO of Clarity Wireless Inc., a high-speed wireless data communications company.

Karen White, 36, senior vice president for World Wide Business Development and Emerging Markets for Oracle Corp.

Chairman and CEO George Orban said the new directors will strengthen the company’s efforts to develop a virtual superstore on the Internet.

Egghead.com’s stock has fallen to $6.94 per share on the Nasdaq stock market, roughly where it was before July 6, when it began a three-week surge in which shares soared to more than $29 per share.
