Cal and Julie (Hanson) Short, Spokane, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 5 with a dinner at their home.

Hosts for the event were neighbors and family members: Tina Baerwald, Linda Dietz, Helen Brinkman and Phyllis Hanson, all of Spokane.

Their daughters and son-in-law are Judy and Elmer Adams, Kehau, Hawaii; and Patty Wojnar, Ashland, Ore.

The Shorts were married July 5, 1948, in Spokane. They have two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
