Fake Firefighter Soliciting Donations

Someone impersonating as a Spokane firefighter is illegally soliciting donations from area residents, fire officials said.

The scam involves a person going door-to-door asking for $30 donations to help fund local paramedics and emergency medical services.

Fire officials said they never request donations from citizens for services.

Anyone with information about the scam should call the Spokane Fire Department at 625-7000.
