Voting A Primary Concern Today

In case the constant barrage of television commercials hasn’t served enough warning, here’s one more: It’s election day.

Today’s Washington state primary will sort out crowded races for the U.S. Senate and the state Supreme Court. It also will narrow choices for some legislative and county offices.

And it will give voters a chance to decide tax issues for high schools in the Central Valley district and for fire and emergency service around Spokane County.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the usual precinct voting stations. A sample ballot for Spokane County was published Saturday in The Spokesman-Review on Pages A5-A6 and a list of precinct locations was published Thursday on Pages C7 and C8.
